We are honored to recognize a very special group of individuals as part of the 2026 Rosman High School Alumni Hall of Fame.
The purpose of the Alumni Hall of Fame is to recognize former students and community members who have achieved success in their fields and made meaningful contributions to our school and community. This program was created to build pride in Rosman High School, celebrate excellence, and strengthen the connection between our school and the community we serve.
Each year, individuals may be selected for induction in one of five categories:
Public Service, Career Success, Athletic Achievements , Inspirational Experiences, and Contribution to RHS.
Inductees are selected through a thoughtful nomination and voting process involving National Honors Society students, The Tiger Club, Yearbook, faculty, and community representation. This ensures that each honoree truly represents the spirit and tradition of Rosman High School.
Inspirational Experiences:
Beulah Raxter embodies lifelong Tiger Pride, inspiring all through her unwavering support, loyalty, and presence across decades of school traditions. At 98 years young, Beulah Raxter represents the very spirit, loyalty and pride that define Rosman High School. For decades she has been one of the school's most faithful enthusiastic supporters. Her presence has been a constant source of encouragement for generations of students. Beulah has been a familiar and beloved face at countless school events. Whether attending band concerts, school plays, or sitting proudly in the stands cheering on Tiger Football- both at home and away, near and far - she has consistently shown unwavering dedication to our students and programs. Her commitment has never wavered with time or distance. Her support goes beyond simply attending events; it reflects a deep love for the school and its community. Students, faculty and families alike recognize her as a symbol of tradition, pride and steadfast encouragement. She embodies what it means to stand behind your school- not just for a season, but for a lifetime. Beulah Raxter's decades of loyalty and school spirit have left a lasting impressing on Rosman High School. Her legacy is not measured in trophies or titles, but in presence, encouragement and unwavering Tiger Pride.
Public Service
Shane Fisher exemplifies selfless dedication through his distinguished military career and continued service to others both in our community and around the world. Commander Daniel “Shane” Fisher is a distinguished career Navy intelligence officer currently serving as Head of Counterintelligence & Human Intelligence for U.S. Fleet Forces Command. A native of Lake Toxaway, North Carolina, he has held critical assignments around the world, including serving as the first Naval Attaché to the U.S. Embassy in Wellington, New Zealand, and supporting operations with SEAL Team 6, U.S. Africa Command, and multiple Joint Special Operations Task Forces. A graduate of Wake Forest University and the U.S. Navy War College, Commander Fisher has deployed to the Persian Gulf and completed five tours in Afghanistan, conducting high-level intelligence operations in combat environments. Recognized as a HUMINT subject matter expert, he continues to shape Navy intelligence training and operations. His exemplary service has earned him numerous honors, including the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and the Joint Service Commendation Medal with “V” for valor.
Career Success
David “Mick” Galloway represents excellence in education and leadership, leaving a lasting impact on generations of students and the broader community. Mick earned Teacher of the Year while teaching PE at TC Henderson Elementary. As a student at Rosman High School, he was part of the varsity basketball team that won the Appalachian 1-A Conference Championship. Mick has been actively involved in his community for many years through both education and service. He worked for Transylvania County Schools for 31 years, beginning his career as a physical education teacher at Brevard Elementary School and T.C. Henderson Elementary School. He served as athletic director and PE teacher at Rosman High School, and was also the Head Basketball coach and Assistant Football Coach. He later served as assistant principal and athletic director and then principal at Brevard High School. Throughout his time in education, he also spent many years coaching basketball and football at Rosman High School, mentoring and supporting countless students both on and off the field. In addition to his work in education, Mick has continued to give back to the community through service and leadership. He currently serves as the Disaster Recovery Officer for Forward Transylvania, where he helps coordinate recovery efforts and support for the community following Hurricane Helene. Through his long career in education and his continued involvement in community service, Mick has made a lasting impact on students, families, and the broader Transylvania County community.
Athletic Achievement
Brett Chappell stands as one of Rosman’s finest athletes, with record-setting accomplishments and continued success as a leader in the game of football. Brett Chappell is a highly respected head football coach in Chesnee, SC. Brett is known for his consistent success, leadership, and commitment to student-athlete development. A native of North Carolina, Chappell is a graduate of Rosman High School. He was a standout football player whose accomplishments set him apart as one of the best in the region. At the time of his graduation, he was the Western North Carolina High School career rushing leader, a record that highlighted his dominance on the field, and he still holds the career rushing record at Rosman High School. Following high school, he continued his football career at Western Carolina University and also participated in preseason with the San Diego Chargers. Chappell began building his coaching reputation at East Henderson High School, where he served as head coach for eight seasons. During his tenure, he compiled an impressive 67–35 record and led his program to a conference championship, highlighted by an outstanding 11–2 season. In 2013, Chappell was named head coach at Pisgah High School in Canton, North Carolina. Over the next 11 seasons, he transformed the Black Bears into one of the region’s most competitive programs. Under his leadership, Pisgah achieved sustained success, including multiple playoff appearances and conference titles, while posting an overall record of 94–39. Chappell’s teams are consistently known for their discipline, toughness, and balanced style of play. His ability to develop talent and build strong team culture led to numerous winning seasons, including standout campaigns such as a 12–2 finish and several 9+ win seasons. Beyond wins and losses, Coach Chappell has made a lasting impact on his players and community through his emphasis on character, accountability, and academic success. His leadership has helped shape countless young men both on and off the field, making him a respected figure in North Carolina high school athletics.
Contribution to RHS
Sue Fox has given countless years of service, leadership, and heart to Rosman High School, making a difference in the lives of students and the strength of this community. Sue Fox is a Rosman Tiger through and through. She served as a school counselor at Rosman Elementary, T.C. Henderson Elementary, and Rosman High School before continuing her impact as a member of the Transylvania County Schools Board of Education from 2009–2014, where she provided steady leadership and advocated for students, staff, and strong schools during challenging budget years. A former cheer coach and queen of celebrations, Sue has always been one of Rosman’s biggest supporters. Her influence extends far beyond the school walls, as she remains a source of wisdom, care, and service to past and present Tigers—always ready to step in with a smile. She and Coach Fox love this community deeply and will forever bleed orange and black.
